MOU SIGNING CEREMONY ON NUCLEAR FIELD BETWEEN HUST AND VINATOM
On April 8th, 2014, the MOU Signing Ceremony of Training, Scientific research and Technology transfer on Nuclear filed between Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) was held solemnly at the office of VINATOM. Under the MOU, HUST and VINATOM will promote the collaboration on scientific research, bilateral and multilateral projects, training, international conferences and technical infrastructure sharing as well as exploring international cooperation activities.
Participating the ceremony were representatives from HUST led by President Nguyen Trong Giang and other leaders from related Departments, Schools. From VINATOM side, President Tran Chi Thanh and other leaders from administration and management sectors, application sectors attended the event.
Addressing at the opening ceremony, Dr. Tran Chi Thanh warmly welcomed the delegation from HUST and highly appreciated the collaboration of two sides on nuclear field. The leader emphasized HUST as the strategic partner of VINATOM and this official MOU signing ceremony would mark a new development stage for the long-lasting cooperating opportunities on joint project implementation, joint training and other scientific research plans.
Prof. Nguyen Trong Giang in return expressed the gratitude for the warmly welcome of VINATOM for HUST delegation. He stressed the importance of the collaboration with a traditional partner like VINATOM. HUST also strongly commits itself to promote the cooperative programs effectively with VINATOM and believed that this cooperation would reap a great success.
On the meeting, the two sides also discussed the detailed cooperating programs for the year 2014, especially the mutual support in international cooperation with potential partners like Nagaoka University, Toshiba Corporation, Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, Misubishi Heavy Industry – Japan; Rosatom, National Research nuclear university “MEPhi” – Russia; IAEA, Phelma–Grenoble INP – France
